Nestled within a village townhome built in the early 90s is a spa-like retreat you’d never guess was there. The Thira En Suite underwent a complete transformation, redefining both form and function. The original layout—tight quarters, an open vanity area with carpeted floors. It felt dated, dark and disconnected. To bring a sense of sophistication and tranquility, we reimagined the space as a relaxing and sun-filled retreat. Frosted glass double pocket doors now provide privacy while inviting natural light from the skylight to flow into both the en suite and the master bedroom. A reconfigured window placement enhances the airy feel, while a refined palette of walnut, vibrant blue floor tiles, and mixed metals—black, gold, and polished nickel—creates a rich, layered aesthetic. Accessibility was subtly woven into the design, with features like a curbless shower entry, a wide shower door, a generous bench, and a handheld fixture. The result is a luxurious retreat that balances a modern aesthetic with thoughtful functionality, offering a true escape within the home.
